day I met a young lady in one of the fellowships I attend. She had sneaked in
without the consent of her parents who are Muslims. She came because; to her
the message of Christ made her feel better about herself, especially the part
which says, ‘Christ died to take away our sins.’
with this strong affirmation, she thought it was too good to be true! ‘My sins,
He cleansed them? Nah!’ she thought. When I told her about the redemption story
of Christ, she said her sin was too great to be atoned for by a part who didn’t
even know her! And besides, “who am I that He could die for me?” she asked.
agree with the young lady, the redemption story is too good to be true. But the
good news is, ITS TRUE! Christ walked on this earth, ate the food we eat, was
tempted—and did all the things we do down here. For John says:
The Word (Christ) became
flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the
One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
messiah came for you and me – the sinner. He did not come for the righteous;
neither did He come for those who are well. But if you are not lost, why do you
need a savior?
The Gospel will receive you in
its halls if you come as a sinner, not otherwise
the eyes of men, there are sinners and great sinners. In the eyes of God, we
all sinners. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are
as filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6)”
one should start feeling bad about himself, for the gospel of Christ exists for
the sinner, not otherwise. The good news is that it’s only God who justifies
the sinner through His son Jesus Christ. Read this:
However, to a man who does
not work but trust God who justifies the
wicked, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (Romans 4:5)
the money, cars, career, friends, spouse, children, mention them. None of these
can bring real justification to sin. It’s only by God through Christ, for our
only way to get to God is through Christ Jesus. We can only do this, not by
works of the law, but by faith alone—believing in Jesus Christ.
next? One may ask. Well, a divine to-do-list won’t be handed down to you from
heaven! God wants you to believe in Him. In His power to save, transform your
life. HE WANTS YOU TO RECEIVE HIS SALVATION:
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is
Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved (Romans 10:9). [Emphasis added]
all. Simple, isn’t it? Enjoy a life of purpose in Jesus Christ.
